![]() ![]() (To Lee) " Yes!! This is what youth is all about!" (To Kakashi and Gaara) " I'm not sad!! In front of a man who made an important decision… feeling sadness or pity would be an insult to him!!!" (To Kimimaro) " I am Konoha's Beautiful Green Wild Beast - Rock Lee!" (To Guy) " I want to show I can be a splendid ninja as well even if I don't have ninjutsu or genjutsu… I want to prove it to the whole world!" (To Sakura) " The lotus of Konoha blooms twice." (To Team 7) " See?! Guy-sensei is incredible!" If your Sharingan is a genius-type from the Uchiha blood, I am simply a hard-working type who has mastered only taijutsu." (To Sasuke) " Among strong people exists genius types and hard-working types. (To Sakura) " Sakura, please go out with me! I'll protect you with my life!" So this wasn't the best of episodes, but after last week, we can't complain too much.(To Tenten) " A genius, huh? What does that mean? "Genius"? So I was not born with a whole lot of natural talent, not gifted like Neji… but I work hard and I never give up! That is my gift that is my ninja way!" It at least now shows that Rock Lee has more then half a chance to make it. By the end of the episode we see that Tsunade had risen the success rate of the surgery to fifty-eight percent, and while it may not seem like a lot to some people. While this episode was a slight improvement, hopefully they decide not to drag out Rock Lee's decision out any longer, because I think 3 episodes is enough. It was quite heartbreaking watching Rock Lee look so depressed and crying. We miss the old Rock Lee who was cheesy just like Guy, but not to that extreme. We have to say we're hoping Rock Lee gets his surgery, which it looks like he will, because Rock Lee being so depressed is a downer. Quite frankly there were times that could put you to sleep, but luckily the good was there to keep you awake. Also some of the flashbacks in this episode we had seen before, and some that were from just the last episode. The music is great, but it always gives you this feeling that some action is about to happen, so it was a bit disappointing when the music played and all Rock Lee did was write down what Guy was saying on a notepad. There was also an interesting scene towards the end where Guy was walking on his hands and as he's talking to Rock Lee, and they all of a sudden start playing the music for when there's usually a battle about to happen. Guy has always been pretty cheesy and too much of him in an episode can really be an overkill. Kakashi Sensei & Guy Sensei While there were some good things about this episode there was unfortunately some bad stuff to sort through. These Flashbacks basically seemed to serve as telling us how important it is to Rock Lee to be the best ninja in the world. There was actually one great scene where Guy Sensei told Rock Lee that if Rock Lee dies during surgery then he would die right there also, and Guy telling Rock Lee to have the surgery. Rock Lee and Guy definitely have the best Sensei/ninja relationship and Guy really loves Rock Lee. We saw a scene where Guy made a promise to train Rock Lee to become one of the best. Guy Sensei and Kakashi's harmless rivalry is always funny to watch, because usually it's only Guy that wants the challenge with Kakashi playing it cool most of the time and usually Guy always comes out on the losing end of these things anyway. We also get a pretty funny scene where Guy Sensei plays Kakashi in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and then adds in the rule that whoever loses has to do five laps around the village on just their hands Guy Sensei loses unfortunately and ends up having to walk around the village on his hands. The fact that he doesn't know any ninjutsu or genjutsu seems like it made him unpopular. The flashback goes farther though this time with Neji insulting him and we see that much like Naruto and Gaara, Rock Lee is another ninja who also wasn't treated too well by other classmates. Rock Lee stands up and makes a speech about becoming one of the best ninja even if he only knows how to use Tai-Jutsu. The flashback takes us back to the day that we saw glimpses of in the Gaara and Rock Lee battle, where we see a young Rock Lee, Neji, and Ten-Ten on their first day of becoming Genin. The whole episode was basically Rock Lee sitting down thinking and him having one big flashback. This week's episode focuses strictly on Rock Lee as he is still pondering whether he's willing to risk his life to let Tsunade perform the surgery that could repair him. ![]()
